Matteo by Clarissa Wild

🖤 Matteo

Matteo is possessive, ruthless, obsessive, controlling, protective, and absolutely unhinged when it comes to the woman he loves. He’s the kind of MMC who walks into a room and immediately owns the atmosphere.

He doesn’t ask for permission.
He takes.
He protects.
He destroys anything that threatens what’s his.

But underneath all the violence and dominance is someone carrying years of emotional damage and loneliness. Matteo doesn’t know how to love softly — every emotion he feels is sharp enough to cut.

And honestly? That made him impossible to look away from.

🖤 Stella

Sofia brought so much emotional balance to this story. She isn’t weak, even when Matteo tries to overpower every situation around her. She constantly pushes back against him, questions him, and forces him to confront emotions he’d rather bury beneath anger and control.

What made her compelling was that she didn’t instantly surrender to Matteo’s darkness. She feared him, wanted him, resisted him, and understood him all at once.

Their chemistry was explosive because every interaction felt like a battle for control.

A Spoiler-Filled Review

Clarissa Wild truly said “what if obsession became a love language?” and then delivered MATTEO with enough intensity, darkness, possessiveness, and emotional chaos to completely ruin me in the best way possible.

This book was dark, addictive, emotionally messy, and impossible to put down. From the very beginning, Matteo’s presence dominates every scene. He isn’t the kind of morally gray man who pretends to be good — he knows exactly what he is, and honestly, that makes him even more dangerous.

And yet somehow… you still fall for him anyway.

This story balances brutal violence, emotional vulnerability, obsession, trauma, loyalty, and desire in a way that keeps pulling you deeper chapter after chapter.

🔥 What I Loved🔥

The tension in this book was absolutely suffocating in the best way possible.

Clarissa Wild excels at writing relationships that feel dangerous and emotionally consuming. Matteo and Sofia don’t have a calm, healthy, easy romance — they have the kind of connection that burns hot enough to destroy both of them.

And somehow that emotional chaos works perfectly for the story.

The possessiveness? INSANE.

The jealousy? Deliciously toxic.

The emotional breakdowns and vulnerability hidden beneath Matteo’s rage? Incredible.

One thing I especially loved was how Matteo’s obsession slowly shifts into something deeper and more terrifying: genuine emotional dependence. Watching him realize Sofia isn’t just someone he wants to possess but someone he genuinely needs emotionally added so much depth to his character.

⭐Final Thoughts⭐

MATTEO is not a soft romance. It’s dark, obsessive, emotionally volatile, and completely unapologetic about the kind of story it wants to tell.

Clarissa Wild created a romance that feels consuming from start to finish, filled with explosive chemistry, emotional wounds, dangerous devotion, and a hero who loves with terrifying intensity.

If you enjoy dark romances with obsessive antiheroes, emotional destruction, possessive behavior, intense chemistry, and relationships that blur the line between love and obsession, this book absolutely delivers.

Matteo was toxic, terrifying, emotionally broken perfection — and I could not stop reading.
