Genre: Spicy Dark Urban Fantasy Romance (book 1 of 3) Published: May 15, 2026 Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ / 5 stars Spoilers: YES — full spoilers ahead. You have been warned.

The Setup

Let’s be real for a minute: I picked up Everything, Every Day for Eternity by E.W. Silver expecting a standard paranormal romance to pass the time. Instead, the author chose absolute emotional violence, ripped out my soul, and left me completely hyper-fixated. If you haven’t read this dark urban fantasy yet, turn back now!

🐺 Meet Our Tortured Leads

Mark Garner: The fiercely loyal Head of Security for the Werewolf Council. He’s dealing with a broken, trapped animal self and an unbearable trauma that makes him an absolute “must-protect” character.

Caster St. John: The intensely organized Vampire Crown Prince who runs the Council. He treats emotional vulnerability like a weakness and works himself to the bone trying to control everything.

The Trope Breakdown

  • Rivals-to-Allies: Supernatural shifters and vampires forced to fight on the same side.
  • Forced Proximity: Traveling across the world together under high-stakes conditions.
  • Grumpy x Moody: Two incredibly broody, trauma-mapped leads who refuse to acknowledge their vulnerabilities.
  • Deep-Seated Trauma: Past violent loss, intrusive nightmares, and a broken magic/shifter bond.
  • Royal/Political Stakes: Vampire crowns, Alpha dominance, and keeping their hidden world secret from humans.

⚔️ The Plot: Blood, Betrayal, and Broken Treaties

The story kicks off centuries in the past with a massive betrayal. A power-hungry witch named Ethel double-crosses her demon ally, Pierce, trading his life to a superior Underworld entity in exchange for terrifying dark magic.

Fast forward two centuries later to the main timeline. The plot takes a high-stakes turn when this exact same witch resurfaces and launches a brutal killing spree against the vampires. Because their hidden existence is on the line, Caster is forced to invoke an ancient treaty and call on the werewolves for help. This forces our two rival factions into a tense alliance.

The emotional climax of these opening chapters centers on Mark’s agonizing past. We find out the witch didn’t just break his ability to transform into a wolf—she is the exact monster who brutally murdered the love of his life, Zeke, right in front of him. Mark’s entire motivation is pure, unadulterated vengeance. When Caster’s council requests the wolves to travel to Europe to hunt her down, Mark’s older brother, Prime Alpha Dean, steps up. In an incredibly emotional moment, Dean admits he is only entering this dangerous vampire territory to help Mark secure the closure and revenge he needs to survive. My heart completely shattered!

The lines that lived rent-free in my head

“If you are getting ready to ask me if I’m OK, prepare yourself to get punched in the face.” — Mark

“I want the witch found. Now!” — Caster

“The vampires think we’re there to help them find and capture the witch, but I’m only there for you. This has eaten at you for too long, and I need my brother back.” — Dean

🌪️ Emotional Rollercoaster & Reading Vibes

Reading this book feels like standing in the middle of a looming thunderstorm—it is moody, broody, atmospheric, and beautifully angsty. The tension between the shifters and the vampires is literal electricity, and the underlying BDSM and D/s dynamics add a deliciously sharp edge to the heavy themes of grief and PTSD.

The contrast between the two main perspectives is brilliant. You jump from Caster trying to maintain a facade of absolute regal control to Mark battling a constant internal rage that threatens to tear him apart. The emotional payoff of watching these two broken worlds collide is top-tier.

✨ Overall Verdict

This is an easy 5 out of 5 stars for urban fantasy lovers who want actual emotional depth mixed into their paranormal lore. It is dark, heavy, sharp, and flawlessly written.
